MEDUSA 55

Description

The Medusa 55- amplifier is a fully balanced tube amplifier, which can be equipped with different power tubes on customer request. The following tube types are available: KT66, KT88, KT120, KT150, with the output power remaining essentially the same, only the damping factor and Class A range changing.
Our preference for this amplifier is the excellent handmade KT88 tube from Kron Audio in Prague.
The Medusa 55 amplifier combines the classic „split load design“ of the legendary Mc Intosh and Quad amplifiers with the latest semiconductor technology and special toroidal transformers of the highest bandwidth. Carefully designed control circuitry provides automatic bias adjustment of the power tubes and easy tube replacement just in case.
The amplifier operates with almost no negative feedback for an open and dynamic sound image.

The Medusa 55 amplifier can be designed as a power amplifier as well as an integrated amplifier on request. Mono versions in bridge circuit with double output power are also possible.
